Murdered in terror attack in Jerusalem's East TalpiotLieutenant Shir Hajaj 22
January 8 2017 – Lieutenant Shir Hajaj 22, was one of four soldiers killed in the terrorist attack today in Jerusalem. The soldiers targeted by the assailant were on an educational trip in Jerusalem when attacked.
Shir was a native of Ma’ale Adumim and a graduate of Ort Dekel Vilna'i High School in the city. She was an officer in the Intelligence Corps and was serving as an educational officer in the Intelligence Corps’ officer’s training course.
Shir is survived by her parents and three sisters. She was posthumously promoted to the rank of 1st Lieutenant and was buried in the military cemetery of Mt. Herzl in Jerusalem.
